The company approached MAS-SW to assess its ‘front wheel drive’ remanufacturing process and identify the key areas for improvement.

Severnprint is a highly successful printing company based in Gloucester serving local and national customers. The company prints high-quality posters, flyers, leaflets and booklets for promotional purposes and end-of-year financial accounts.
Camel Glass & Joinery
Camel Joinery is situated in Wadebridge and manufactures bespoke joinery. Improved layout reduced non-value added activity by a minimum 10%.

Hi-TAMS is a successful start-up business specialising in servicing and supporting hi-tech products such as EPOS terminals, games consoles, hand-held PCs and associated services for large corporate businesses.
Thompson Valves Ltd
The company specialises in the design and production of high quality precision engineered valves for various sectors including the Nuclear sector. One of the leading brands within the business is the Maxseal Valve which is seen to be the market leader.
Lantoom Quarry
Lantoom Quarry is the major producer within Lantoom Ltd and has been so since the current family ownership was established in the early 1960’s. Lantoom Quarry has three major product routes, namely; building and walling stone representing 70% of their output (50% of which is cut stone), bought out stone products e.g. marble for selling on, representing 20% of output and granite representing the final 10%.

Microlights Ltd has been designing and manufacturing high specification retail lighting for more than 22 years, providing solutions to retailers in the UK, Europe and the Middle East to help them make the most of their windows, walls and shop displays.
Bridwey Precision Engineering Ltd
The company specialises in the production of high quality (ISO:9001:2000) and precision engineered components for the aerospace and defence industries. A speciality is prototypes and small batch production offering customers full support from conception of an idea through to the final assembly of the product.
David Hart Aerospace Pipes Ltd.
DHAP is a subcontract, pipe bending and fabrications supplier operating in the Aerospace and Motor Sport Industry. This business began to begin to think about dedicating assets to specific products or customers rather than remaining as a functional layout and asked MAS-SW for help.
Atkinson Engineering Ltd
Bespoke engineering components and oil heating products. The primary focus was on the engineering division and three main areas were reviewed with MAS-SW, which included both strategic and operational issues.

Aerospace Precision Machined Components. Strenco Tools requested assistance from MAS-SW to help understand the constraints within its current value stream to significantly improve productivity, service and delivery levels.
Smurfit Kappa - Machine Systems
Design, manufacture and repair of bespoke, specialist packaging equipment. Mark Hill selected the Operational Leadership Programme (OLP) to aid his development in management & leadership skills.
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastic Rencol Ltd
Tolerance Rings - bespoke fastening solutions. Tolerance rings are radial spring fasteners that are press fitted between two mating components, generating a retention force that fixes those components together, whilst also satisfying other functional requirements such as Torque Drive & Overload Protection. Rencol contacted SWMAS to assist with raising knowledege and awareness of SMED and 5S principles to key staff.
Optima Group
Optima is the UK's market leading partitioning specialist. They offer a service which combines the design, development and installation of a wide range of partitioning systems, including silicone,dry jointed glazing, demountable system partitions, advanced system drywall, doors and frames. Andy McKeown selected the South West MAS Operational Leadership Programme (OLP) to aid his development in management & leadership skills.

Hobbs House Bakery
Breads and confectionery. The improvement project selected was to reduce waste of overproduction associated with rye bread production by introduction of a yeast free product.
Cabletec Interconnect Components Systems
Cabletec Ltd is a £6m business operating within the electrical cable industry. End applications include uses for aerospace and defence and many others. The business offers both a distribution and manufacturing service to its customers - the latter enabling rapid growth to its current level.
